Is it worth to become a licensed practical nurse (homes, medical)

I'd like to study no more than one year program, but im not sure if that is good idea, i like nursing but they say for lpns is hard to get a job because hospitals prefer registered nurses or medical assistant...

If you plan on staying in this area, then you should get an RN at the minimum. Many hospitals are also starting to require a bachelors degree as well. An LPN will severely limit your options.

I don't agree. I got my LPN in 1983. I worked as a CHARGE nurse for many years in the nursing homes, and when I left in 2000 due to an accident that left me unable to work anymore, I was making 28-30 dollars an hour. It is a good place to start if you just want to see of you can do it. From there, it is about 16 months to your RN (full time)
