I am looking for nice birthday party ideas for my 6 year old . If we invite his 20 classmates, what would be a fairly economical party idea ? If possible, I would prefer something closer to chappaqua -pleasantville area rather than down south. Thank you.
A great party for that age is Teatown Lake Reservation. They have a great party room (the old carriage house) and a variety of activities to choose from. We did my son's 4th or 5th there and went to many of his friends' parties there too. It's about 15 minutes from Chappaqua.
I did my son's at World Cup Gymnastics last year - boys love it at that age and it burns off a lot of energy! Not sure what you consider economical but I have yet to find a place where you can have a party for that many kids for under $500. If you're a member, Club Fit is reasonable for parties and also great for boys.
This may be too far south for you - but Greenburgh Nature Center in Scarsdale hosts parties. They let the birthday kid pick out three animals in advance and they do a show and tell. (animals like turtles, snakes, ferrets, etc.). They do a nice job - my nephews have had parties there.
Great ideas, thank you. It does get expensive for that big a group. I am alternately thinking of just calling his close playmates ( not from his class) and keeping it simple . Thanks for the tips. I will check the bounce place.
I have used Bounce U in Elmsford and I really liked it and the kids had a great time. I also really like WeeZee in Chappaqua.
My son had his 6th at Bounce U in Elmsford. Its a little pricey but was nice. I was at WeeZee the other day with my kids and witnessed a birthday party taking place. They did a very nice job. Not sure about the cost?
We did Club Fit for his 5th birthday which was also very nice. There is also Pro-Swing in Mount Kisco if he is into baseball.
