I'm looking into options for summer day camp for a rising kindergartener this summer. Does anyone have any experience with Squire Camps at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry?
We sent our daughter there for two years. It's a nice camp. Beautiful grounds. Well run. It's definitely not your standard town camp. They have all sorts of activities such as drama or or playing guitar or model building plus standard stuff like swimming. They also serve lunch there, which was great. You can get bus service if you like.
You can go more expensive to a place like Elmwood, but we felt for the money, this place was a great option.
It seems like a great place. My only hesitation is that my son will be among the youngest kids there - he'll have just turned 5 and is entering Kindergarten in the fall.
Did your daughter go at that age? Or do you have any thoughts about how it might be for a 5 year old?
