Hi All,

I'm new to this thread so will definitely look into old post to see other comments however i'd love to hear your thoughts on Bronxville and Edgemont. My husband prefers Edgemont and I prefer Bronxville but I think that we'd happy in either location.

What are the main differences between these two towns... the schools, the sports, the vibe, etc. We are searching for a nice community, we have two young kids, and would like a nice nurturing environment at school.

Does one school have more of a pressure cooker environment than the other?

Thank you!

we just went thru the same process and ended up in Edgemont. Moving in August. Such a personal choice, they are both nice places, but different in many ways, I think. I ended up going with my gut on where I think I would be happier. Did you visit the schools? I definitely recommend doing that. I visited the Bronxville School (expecting to LOVE it) and Seely Place and fell in love with S.P. school. The thing they told me there was that they are very aware that the children at their school go on to a very high achieving middle and high school, so they really try to build them up in the elementary school. They even keep them there thru 6th grade. I just got a really good feeling from it. Someone else may have liked Bronxville better, but it wasn't for me. I got the sense that Edgemont schools are very very good, but a bit laid back as well. They don't seem to push their elementary school kids, which I like.
