We have recently moved to Irvington and looking for a preschool for my son. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I've heard good things about the The Christian Preschool in Dobbs Ferry. My neighbors kids go there and they love it. The kids originally went to school in Ardsley but my neighbor had some issues with the way the school was run. She switched them to the Christian School in dobbs and is very happy. There is also a Montessori school in Dobbs Ferry on Broadway.

The Rivertown pre-school in Hastings is also good. Its full day and more of a daycare but they do teach the kids stuff they would learn in pre-school. You can drop your children off as early as 7:30 and leave them there until 6:30. It is costly though, about $300+/week.

Just thought I'd throw it out there as another option.

As for the Christian Preschool, here is a link that tells you more about it. They have a drop in program from 10-11 on Fridays if you want to check it out.

My daughter goes to Good Shepherd Early Childhood Center at Good Shepherd Church right in central Irvington. We love it. Her teachers are wonderful, the rooms are well-equipped, clean, bright and cheerful and there is a great sense of community. I would definitely recommend it especially as you live in Irvington!
