What parts of Yonkers are mostly crime infested or should be consider avoidable at all cost?

Can anyone be a little more specific? I am looking for a place to live as I am relocating with my family in the next few weeks and I am trying to weed out the bad from the good? any advice would be so appreciated....

west of the Saw Mill River Parkway, north of The Bronx, maybe south of Tuckahoe Rd, and east of the Hudson River, the southwest section of Yonkers, the sidestreets off Broadway and Riverdale Avenue, New Main Street, etc are very bad. depressing too. but there are exceptions and healthy blocks...

there are a lot of mediocre plain and basic kind of areas too that aren't necessarily crime infested but they are just not very appealing and they are just depressing.

It's better to ask for the good sections rather than the bad because there are so many bad! Go North Yorkers, closer to Hasting border, you should be good in that area....Stay away from Ghetty Square! eeww! They put up new condo building in the area right next to metro north to entice you, but unless you planning on never going outside, then stay away!

Northeast Yonkers is probably the best (near the border of Scarsdale/Crestwood. Getty Square/Riverdale being the worst. The other parts are in between.

Try sticking to zip code 10710

Bronxville PO/Yonkers is very upscale...Lawrence Park West is gorgeous but not many homes under $1.2-1.3 to $2M or more.. Cedar Knolls and Armour Villa are also nice. There is nothing in Cedar Knolls under a million either. There are also some very nice areas in Scarsdale/Yonkers. The only drawback are the schools - taxes are quite reasonable. Plus you get the Bronxville or Scarsdale mailing address, which adds value to your home. People would rather say they live there instead of Yonkers. Similiar to the Riverdale/Bronx mindset.

We lived in Cedar Knolls for 8 years and loved it!

I would avoid Havana Central in Ridge Hill at all cost. The calories there can kill you.
