Any thoughts on the Putnam school systems - Lakeland, Brewster, etc..

I know it falls outside Westchester, but looks like if I want to buy a house, I'll have to cross the i-84 line....

I have two children - youngest is home schooled, and the older one is going into 7th grade.

How are the schools up there - elementary & high schools?

THanks!

Default The school system is great!

Hello,

I live within the Brewster school system, and I have nothing bad to say education-wise. My oldest daughter was accepted into a college this year and received a rather large scholarship, and I credit the Brewster school system for opening doors to opportunities that she might not otherwise have explored in other areas.

I have four children. Three are in the schools, and one is preschool age and in a program within the school system. I would highly recommend the schools here.

I'm putting my house on the market and moving down south this summer, and I know it will be a challenge to find a school system that meets up to the credentials of Brewster.
