My wife and I have a law firm in Milwaukee Wisconsin which focuses on consumer bankruptcy. We have four young children, and my wife, who is from New York, wants to move back to NYC area to be closer to family. We are looking to move and simultaneously set up our law firm, ideally in White Plains. We would commute to work probably from Putnam county (Westchester is out of our price range). My questions are; 1) Are there any bankruptcy attorneys on this list serve who could comment on the practice of consumer bankruptcy (7 & 13) in New York (Southern district)? 2)Whether White Plains might be a good area to set up the firm? I currently file between 100-150 bankruptcy cases per year, and I am looking to have similar #s. My wife's family lives in Westchester and the Bronx, so I would be interested in learning which cities in addition to White Plains, might be good choices for higher #'s of bankruptcy clients? Thanks in advance for any responses.
White Plains would be an excellent place to set up your practice because of its central location for Westchester and the 5 boroughs..........I also sent you a private message...
Other cities that may provide high volumes are Yonkers, Elmsford, Ossining. You'll find cheaper commercial space in these areas vs. White Plains as well.
