Which DMV is better/faster... White Plains or Yonkers? (Peekskill: garage, cars)

We are in the middle of Westchester... Ardsley to be precise... And we need to register our cars from out of State, plus get our drivers licences... Which is the best office to get this done? I want to avoid long lines! Thanks all

I've been to the Yonkers DMV--last there in 2012 and it was great. Very fast, very well organized.

The last time I went to the DMV office in White Plains it had a very long line and was painfully slow. I've usually had better experiences at the office in Peekskill, but you may not want to drive up there from Ardsley. The Peekskill office also has a parking garage right across the street.

You can now make appointments in White Plains. I drive to Brewster. It was empty and so pleasant.

My wife and I went to the White Plains dmv two years ago and waited for 2 or 3 hours. Last time I went, I was there right when it opened and still had to wait about 30 mins.
