My child plans to attend university in/near/south of the Capital District (So, I'll be posting this in the Albany forum too.). Because it's just the two of us, I only want to be a two-hours drive or train ride from him in case of emergencies, especially with all this snow.
I'm interested in downsizing to a studio apartment. I don't have my own car, so I'll need a walkable area, or I'll need to be within walking distance of a regular bus/train line that'll take me to a walkable area. I don't mind small villages or towns.
