Considering a move to Westchester from Brooklyn. Like many posters, a bit worried about being isolated (kid is not in school yet).

Seems like there are a lot of families with youngish children in Larchmont Manor. Can anyone comment on the vibe in Greenhaven?

Greenhaven also has a large amount of children.. but not as many as the manor. Greenhaven is more expensive, more spread out and there is no focal park there. Most of the younger kids from the Rye Neck (where most Greenhaven kids will go to school) and rest of Mamaroneck area will be down at Harbor Island Park - which is a hike from Greenhaven, and the rest of Rye itself is also a bit of a hike. I love Greenhaven, but you'd really need to be putting more effort in there for socializing than down in Larchmont. Being able to choose between the two is a nice position to be in though.
