HI.. anyone have any idea where there are more singles or social groups in Westchester? I'm looking for a place with a social scene, restaurants, gym, shopping etc. I don't like White Plains though... what do you think of Bronxville, Scarsdale, Rye? Any advice... Thanks..
Have you considered Stamford? I wouldn't recommend Westchester for single life, except maybe White Plains. Definitely not any of the towns you mentioned.

Single life in Westchester is difficult. I honestly would look elsewhere. Its very family/kid driven. White Plains has the best single options, but its not great.
if you are young and looking to mingle, move to the most rural area possible and join a church in the are. Usually there are singles events through the church to meet other people.
Also because you are in a rural area you have lots of outdoor activities to meet people like tennis and running. Good luck meeting anyone at a gym or resturant or shopping center.
Yonkers has a pretty decent social and singles scene offering some nice places to hang. Plus, comparative to the rest of Westchester, has a slightly more liberal (independent) feel if you're not into the religious scene aforementioned. Otherwise, NYC isn't too far.

Uh, really? What religious scene in Westchester... am I missing something?

I'm involved with an unusually large number of young (under 30) singles, all living in Westchester. Not a single one attends church, nor do they know anybody that does. That might be good advice in Provo Utah, but around here it's just laughable.
