We are thinking of moving to Croton-on-Hudson and would like some feedback on the schools, particularly Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary. We realize that all public schools have to follow the Common Core curriculum, but some find more ways to be creative with it than others. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!
I have a 2nd grader there. We've had no issues with the school. They don't seem to get a ton of homework, which i guess is a good thing at this age. Each of the 4 (K->2, one got sick mid-year) teachers our kid has had has been good.
I was wondering as well. We are debating between Croton, Montrose/Buchanan, and Ossining. Mainly concerned about schools at the elementary level. I know Croton has the highest "ranking" but how has it been from the parent/student perspective? Is paying more for a smaller house worth it to get into C-H district?
