It doesnt matter where the job or offer is, obviously the OP does not reside in Va, I moved out in 96.

My point is your kids grow fast and the dance recital or little league game may not be improtant to your corporate career but it will be important to your child or children who are participating.

Unfortunately that does not pay for the >$800K homes and taxes in Philipse Manor. And if private school ever comes to play, forget it entirely.

Why would anyone want an 800k home? That is ridiculous, I got 2 acres and a new 4 bedroom modular in rural Va for 155k, 800k makes no sense, unless you are uber wealthy 800k will take away from your quality of life, I chose not to be house poor so I had more money for date nights, spoil the grandbaby at Christmas, living in debt is not a quality of life and 800k is alot to finance.
