Is there an adequate Jewish population in Larchmont. Not looking for an all Jewish burb but also wouldn't want my daughter only Jewish child in her class. Thanks
It's at least 20 to 30% of the population - zero chance that your daughter will be the only Jewish child in her class. It's not an overwhelmingly Jewish town by any means, but there are lots of Jewish families and many interfaith couples as well.
No, not at all. You will notice a French ex-pat population because FASNY is in Larchmont, but otherwise the majority of kids attend the public schools.
Thanks. While I mostly hear amazing things about school a broker from another town told me most people in Larchmont go to private which is not what I am looking for!
That broker may have been thinking of the area of New Rochelle that is adjacent to Larchmont. It's known as Larchmont Woods and many people there send their kids to private school. The public schools that serve Larchmont are excellent, far better than the New Rochelle schools.
Yes! This is a vibrant diverse town. I can tell you all about the schools and give you more information on the town.
