Hello
We are considering buying an apartment in Park Lane Apts. in Mount Vernon, NY. The area seems quiet and nice, and the complex very attractive, but I am not sure about the safety of living there or the surrounding area. Is this considered to be Fleetwood? Is this area more dangerous? Thanks.

I don't live in Mount Vernon anymore, but I grew up there and visit often. The Park Lane apartments were always very nice, and that neighborhood has never been dangerous. It's not quite Fleetwood, but still a good area.

Maybe someone who lives in Mt.Vernon can chime in, but those apartments were always considered very nice.

Thank you. It looks like there are several apartment buildings nearby. Does that change the safety factor? Park Lane seems great, and the apartments are beautiful. Anyone live there, or nearby?

I live close by in Yonkers but I work in this area - all my clients have been happy and feel quite safe. The building requires 20% down, which is pretty typical. The maintenance (depending on unit) is close to $1000/month and there is a $8/share flip tax which is a little more expensive then most. There is currently a 3 BR listed that is a BEAUTY! Good Luck!

Two of my best childhood friends grew up there. I went to church basically right across the street. In my memory, they were really nice. Some of the nicest apartment buildings in Mt.Vernon.

Although it is not in Fleetwood proper, being on Lincoln Ave. puts you right between Fleetwood and Pelham's shopping.

There are no real dangerous buildings in the area. Its a relatively low crime area.

Gramatan Management seems to manage a majority of E. Lincoln Avenue.

Great apartments and lovely grounds.
