Hello, we're a family of four (1 yr + 4 yr) and are looking to purchase a house in Scarsdale. We've looked at a few places in different areas and are focused on a house in Fox Meadow and one in Heathcote. Both schools seem to have their unique ambiances. But is there really any meaningful difference between the elementary schools in Scarsdale? I just cannot tell as I don't know anyone who has children who've gone to more than one school.
Totally guessing, but wondering if since Fox Meadow and Greenacres are near the train stations, perhaps there are more families with both parents working when compared to Heathcote or Quaker Ridge? We both work so I'd feel bad if my kids went to a school where everyone's mom is stay at home and my wife is one of the few that don't attend all the PTA events.
Also, my wife works in White Plains but I still work in Manhattan. Is there a wait to get a parking permit at Scarsdale station? How about Hartsdale station? If we go to the Heathcote house I think I may take the train from Scarsdale but if Fox Meadow then it could actually be either one of the train stations...
Would very much appreciate some advice here!!
Thank you,
Henry

Reason: additional question! :)
you won't have issues getting parking in hartsdale station if you are a resident of the town of Greenburg.
Scarsdale station also has enough parking spots in Freightway garage... that has been my experience, you just need to apply for your permit on time and will be fine.
