Considering a move to rye brook, but concerned with the lack of a true town center - is there otherwise enough to do there? Restaurants, activities for kids etc? Or do you feel somewhat isolated? Thanks!

We looked at homes in Rye Brook due to the schools. We ultimately ended up in the Rye Neck section of Mamaroneck because of the town feel. However, Rye Brook has great schools and very nice area. I have friends who live in Rye Brook and love it. My brother lives on the border of Rye Brook and Port Chester. Rye Ridge shopping center has many stores and restaurants. You are also a pretty quick drive away from White Plains which has everything. Good luck in your search!

Rye Ridge shopping center functions as the town center and has vastly changed over the last 5-10 years (much higher end now than it used to be). Living in Rye Brook means you will also be shopping/dining quite often in Rye, Port Chester, and Greenwich. I don't think you would feel isolated however as the town is close-knit and convenient to other surrounding towns.
