I went to a club in Rye the other day. On the way there, I stopped at a deli, and saw working class folks there. I noticed there were some small homes on the same road that eventually gave way to mansions. Do these roughnecks live in a certain part of town only? Are they legacy residents who inherited their houses from generations when Rye was more working class? What is the population of Rye like? Old side vs. new McMansion side?
What you're describing sounds like Dock deli on Milton; the area is more middle class than other parts of Rye but not really an area where "roughnecks" live- think you would be hard pressed to find a house <$1M around there these days. More likely just a reasonably priced deli in a residential area without many other options.
Not for nothing but those small "cottage" looking houses sell for 1 million bucks lol...
