Hi Westchester County members,

My wife and I live in Sunnyside Quuens, we love the proxmity to the city but tired of paying 2.2k per month for 540SQFT 1BR apt.

Our goal is to get more space so we can enlarge our family comfortably, we have a car that we barely use and I think it's about time to start explore the Westchester county since is far more affordable than NYC.

Both of us are planning to maintain our carriers in midtown and downtown, we are aware the Metro north costs in addition to the MTA in addition to a car so keep lower zone for cheaper commute is preferred.

We both white Jewish in our 30's, we would prefer a place with good P elementary school, we need the area to be safe enough to walk the dog out at night.

We feel comftorble with under 650K for at least 1000SQFT livable space.

So far Iv'e seen there is somewhat inventory for apartments in the Bronxville area such as:

https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sal...85_rect/15_zm/

https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sal...85_rect/15_zm/

But besides that area I am not sure where else should I look at.

Thank you for your time.

Do you want to live in Bronxville proper, or would you consider Bronxville PO (Yonkers) with the ability to walk to the train station and Village in 5 minutes? Many co-ops on West Pondfield, Bronxville Rd., Palmer Rd., Parkview Ave., Garrett Place, etc., are just as lovely as those in the Village but with lower prices because of the school district. I believe that the K-8 school for this area (Patricia DiChiaro) is rated quite highly.

The first apartment you list, on Parkway, is literally on the train tracks and doesn't have parking. Please note that even if a building (in either the Village or Bronxville PO) has a garage, you'll probably be on the wait list for years and years. :-)

Here are a few co-ops in Bronxville PO, on Bronxville Road. Street parking is not too hard to find in the neighborhood just west of here:

I lived in the Bronxville Road/West Pondfield area for many years and can confirm that it's very safe and convenient, and you'll be able to walk your dog at night without worry. Good luck in your search!
