I need help! I shop in Chestnut Ridge at the Food Co-Op, when my daughter was little, she used to go to school at the Waldorf School. It's a nice quiet place and we are thinking of buying a home there. Why are the houses so ridiculously cheap there? Is it just because Spring Valley is nearby? What are the reasons? PLEASE someone help me out here! THanks!
There is no one reason why homes are cheaper than most in the county. It is really due to a lot of things. Historically, home prices are driven up by new home construction, home improvements, community amenities, and school district.
What school district is the home in? That is probally the reason..Private school would be a good choice if you live in Spring Valley, with kids.
