How clean is Fishkill Creek ?

I believe it has to do with temperature. The colder, the less parasites, the warmer, the more parasites.

I went ice fishing in the winter in Mt Tremblant. I not allowed to eat fish because they have parasites. Apparently lake not deep or too deep, and because of that, the bottom water is warm. That helps reproduce parasites, and they get into fish.

I was told something along those lines. Dont quote me.

Once in summer, I kayak along St Lawrence, and hiked along some tributary. Waters extremely cold, but ok to get into.

You have a risk of getting a parasite in any fresh water that humans can tolerate. The risk is low. its your call.
