The only exclusive buyers agents in Westchester are no longer so I’m in need of some recommendations. Thanks.

Michael Finger, from ReMax in Tuckahoe, was my buyer's agent when I purchased last year. I enjoyed working with him very much. He pushed me to actually negotiate the price, which worked out in my favor, and had local recommendations for all of the other people you need to engage when buying as well.

I assume you are talking about Gary Herbt of the Buyers' Edge. Are they closed? Do you know if anything happened to either of the Garys there? I've done business with them for over 20 years, but nothing in the past few. concerned if something bad happened. PM me if you do not want to share here. thanks.

Gary Herbst informed us that Buyer's Edge closed due to covid. We were just starting the process of house hunting but covid put a halt to that. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to work with him.

I am glad that they are okay. For a moment I was scared it was something else. The Garys are both amazing people and great realtors. I have worked with dozens of other realtors and have never seen anyone with the same joy for getting a steal on a house as those two. I wish you luck, they will be almost impossible to replace. Just make sure you are careful, before making a bid be sure to ask your agent for comparables in teh area sold before and during covid. Don't just listen to them on making offers, if you think its better to drop the offer, do it. Be smart and I wish you the best in your house hunting.

Thanks! Do you have a runner up I could reach out to?

Justin Simmons - DKC Realty Group. 917-254-2103. He helped us buy our place, just got my friend an accepted offer at $25,000 under the list price, and is working with my mom now to get her a townhouse. Great service, knowledgeable, and definitely works in your interest.

I can't say enough good things about Margot Friedlander of Coldwell Banker. My in-depth review is on Zillow.

I have been using her for 8 years and she successfully got us into two apartments and helped us buy our first home.

I highly recommend! She services most of Westchester, Putnam, and beyond, and can refer you to others in neighboring areas if needed.

I highly recommend our buyer's agent, Lori Hoffman at Compass. We could not have been happier with our experience. Our offer was accepted *right* before everything shut down due to COVID and she was amazing to help us navigate the bizarre process. We found her to work really well with us, personality-wise. I suggest talking to a few realtors before making a decision. The person who worked for us (or anyone posting here) might not be as good a fit. They are going to be like a member of the family when you finally get to closing, so I highly encourage checking out a few to find who you 'click' with.
