I just moved to White Plains, consider to buy an apartment or condo here. Today a realtor told me Lake st. is not safe for a single girl. But there are a lot of apartment there right in my price range, they look nice. I want to get more inside opinions about the apartments on lake st.

How's the safety for for lake st.?

Thanks so much.

Well, Eh. It's really not that bad.

I feel entirely safe walking it, at any hour of the day.

However. It's just of lower-income, and not really the nicest. That area has the projects down the street, and the school, Eastview, is really a craphole.

The closer you are to North Broadway, the better.

It's up to you, ultimately. But, from living in the city for many years.. It's definitely not one of the nicer areas. I would try to get something on north b, or downtown.

Are you there now?

Are you by the water, or closer to the school?

Alright. Because Lake Street goes into Silver Lake. Which is an okay area.

The school area is crap, unless you are on north broadway.

And, the apartment building by the water, is projects. I was in there once.. Not the best place.
