We are considering moving to White Plains (north east of the downtown area) from NYC. We're hoping to send our kids to a nearby private school. My questions is: Are there many families in the neighborhood that do this? If so, to which school(s)? I'm concerned that the children will be lonely not knowing the local kids and their classmates would live all over Westchester.
It is not unusual to send the kids to private schools. Hackley, Rye country day school, Horace Mann, The German School, Solomon Schechter, Many Catholic Schools. There are kids from White Plains in all these schools.
Thanks for your response. It was very reassuring and timely!
