Hi everyone!

I'm a 28 year-old woman and I recently received my M.A. in History at Princeton University. I have over a decade of tutoring experience in humanities subjects. The main skills I teach are academic essay writing, close reading and literature, and U.S./European/Art History. I have tutored several AP and SAT classes, and have also helped students prepare for and to adapt to the academic expectations of university settings. Since the pandemic, I have designed dynamic and engaging classes for students via Zoom as well.

I am dedicated, disciplined, patient, and fun for high school students to work with. I also have experience working with students of different backgrounds, including ESL students. As a first-generation college and graduate student, I bring to the table experience in how to bridge cultural and socioeconomic differences.

In my spare time, I enjoy working on filmmaking projects, doing yoga, and cooking.

I would be pleased to get to know you/your family to provide a tailored approach to helping the student. This can be as hands-on or infrequent as the student needs.

If you're interested in my services, please contact me at: kmontoya@protonmail.com

Thank you!

Westchester County is a good place to be doing this, considering the highly ranked schools and all. That being said, your best bet would be to reach out to libraries and ask them if they can post your ad in their place. Or place advertisements in towns or near schools.
