My wife and I are planning on moving back to NY by the end of the summer. We're both originally from NY (NYC,Queens & LI) and have lived in Iowa City for a few years while pursuing our degrees.
We would like to move to Westchester County but don't know much about it (we like that it's close to NYC, family & friends but far enough to have our own piece of mind and raise a family).
We are looking to purchase a 3+ bedroom house with about an acre of land and have between 400-600K+ to spend. We'd like our new town to have good schools, be accepting of interracial marriages, be close to transportation and be somewhat hip at the same time.
Any input or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
Is it true that Upper Westchester offers more for the money than lower Westchester?
My wife and I will be visiting Westchester in early March for a few days looking at homes and areas in Westchester County. We need to narrow down the areas to explore and start lining up real estate agents.
If anyone knows of areas or real estate agents they think stand out, your feedback would be appreciated.
Much Thanks,
Bill & Liz
