Depends what you are looking for. Bronxville is a very nice town, affluent, centrally located. Some people feel it lacks racial, ethnic and religious diversity.

Dont move to Bronxville because the commute to New Haven will be horrendous. Move to CT - Greenwich, Darien, Westport. Same prices but cheaper taxes than Bronxville.

the wife has way more flex in her job.says she does not mind the commute, guess she will ride the train and get work done so she says thus far(for now).me on the other hand, have a very demanding career in the city area.basicly i have to be at work when they say so.cant be too far away from office.but then again, are the taxes really that bad in bronxville.we are thinking about just buying a condo,i know southern ct condos start aronud 300k and up.was hoping to grab something 250k or under.

You won't be in the Village of Bronxville for under $300k, but you can have a Bronxville zip code in Yonkers at that price. However, Bronxville is not on the right train line to get to New Haven for your wife as it's on the Harlem Line. You want to be on the New Haven Line train that runs along the Long Island Sound shore and the towns/villages in New York on that line include: Pelham, Larchmont-Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, and Rye. $250-$300k might not go that far in this area either, but you could find a cooperative apartment. Pelham and Larchmont have very fast commutes to Grand Central akin to Bronxville.
