There's a great Long Island thread where people reminisce about growing up there. Are there people posting on here who grew up in Westchester County?
I grew up in Eastchester. We used to drive all the way to Larchmont when the very first Micky D's opened up. My first date ever was at Steak and Brew, also in Larchmont.
Did you know that the character 'Big *****' on the Sopranos, Vincent Pastore, used to own a bar in New Rochelle? I wonder if it was the Peachtree. Remember Wednesday nights in the summer was when you could get free clams on the half shell?
