Hi, I am looking for public schools in Westchester that provide busing to students. Where we live now, in Larchmont, all students walk, or get driven. My elementary child has younger siblings, so this is very hard and I am thinking of moving to where she could just wait at the bus stop. Do you know which schools have this? Thank you.
Most school districts in Westchester have busing, to my knowledge. We live in Chappaqua, and there is busing. I know Pleasantville does not have busing, but I believe most areas do.
I went to elementary and high school in Rye Brook many years ago, but I know that they still have their own busses.
Croton-Harmon schools as well as the Hendrick Hudson school district in Montrose also provide bus transportation.

The only district I've heard of that does not provide busing is Pleasantville. With the possible exception of Peekskill, every district in northern Westchester does--even the smallest district is too big for kids to walk to school.

Mamaroneck DOES bus students, but you must live at least 2 miles away from the school and no more than 15 miles away.
Any school district that busses will have similar restrictions - they aren't going to bus your kids if you live half a mile away from the school.
Irvington has busing as well. For the elementary school you need to be more than a quarter mile from the school
