We have pretty much decided to move back to Croton. I understand becuase of all that has happened with the economy, that so many Wall Streeters are looking for jobs and there are no good financial service jobs available.
Is this true? I am in Commercial Lending and am hoping to work in White Plains or closer to Croton. I would really like to avoid commuting into the city. Does anyone have any suggestions of employers or resources?

thanks so much!

Chase and Bank of America (and Citibank, to a lesser degree) are doing well, compared to most other banks. They didn't get too embroiled in the subprime mortgage mess that's been the downfall of so many other banks.

Hudson City has branches in Peekskill, Yorktown Heights, and Cortlandt Manor and is supposed to be doing very well compared to the biggest banks--or so we were told by a friend who works at citibank.

Thank you both for your replies! I will check out the websites of the banks you mentioned.

I hope to work for a small community bank, I really like the small town feel of Westchester and I feel like a smaller bank does more for the community.
