I am thinking of commuting on the New Haven Metro Noth line with my infant. She is a really happy kid that doesn't fuss a lot but I still plan on working off hours so that the trains I take are not so crowded. Are there any parents out there that do this? If so, any tips??

as long as your not traveling during rush hour I think that you'll be fine. On occasion I take my cousins and nephew's to the Zoo/Botanical gardens or the Met and I always use the metro north. Granted my nephews and cousins aren't infants but they're still adolescents, but they've gotten cranky and whatnot on crowded rush hour trains before (I learned my lesson there )

Who cares if you have to travel rush hour? Once you pay for your ticket, just tell the seat hogs to move their briefcases and take your seat. It's not like any would offer a parent and his/her child a seat 'round here.

Sorry, but I wasn't born in the lap of luxury like many of these suburbanites. Which meant a commute with a stroller on the train rush hour to drop my kid off at day care too.

If people don't like it, tell them to take a car.
