I will be moving to West Point, New York. I have to commute to Baltimore on the weekend and do not choose to drive the 4-5 hours. I would like to take a train to New York and Amtrak south. Croton has parking, but is it available over the weekend? I would leave the car Friday at 4 PM and pick it up Sunday at 8 PM. Is there a better way other than driving the Newark Airport to park and catch the train? The train schedule on the west side of the Hudson does not go to the city in the afternoons. Thanks

I cannot guarantee I am right, but I am pretty sure that you could pay for parking at Croton for the time period you are interested in. Not sure that the Amtrak train schedule will fit your needs (I think service from Croton is somewhat limited), but you could always take a Metro North train in and then walk/subway it from Grand Central to Penn.

The parking lot construction project is over and all of the lots are open. There is plenty of parking and you should have no trouble finding a Daily Parking spot. If you come late you may have to park at the end of the rear lot, which is a trek to the platform, but not that bad.

Being west of the Hudson, you could easily drive to somewhere in NJ (little if any tolls!) and take a commuter train directly to Penn Station to catch Amtrak. They don't all go there (many stop at Hoboken and you switch to the PATH subway, which will take you to Penn Station, but that's yet another transfer) and I don't know a lot about their commuter rail system except that it's quite vast, Mod cut.

Default Croton Harmon parking

Excused my ignorance, I will start commuting from this station to Grand Central starting on January. If I choose to park on a daily basis, can someone tell me what the current rates are? I have not use the aprking areas for a long time (I used to have a lot os quarters with me). Do they take credit cards or are there attendants? Your answers will be greatlt appreciated. Thanks

Croton-Harmon train service is wonderful, but the parking is a complete rip-off.
