Larchmont high school (Mamaroneck: school district, relocating, Hispanic)

Hi,
We're relocating from San Diego and it seems that there are very positive things about Larchmont. But I am not clear on the schools. Is it part of Mamaroneck school district? What is that school district like?

Larchmont is fine. While it is part of Mamaroneck school district, it is in some ways (others can elaborate further) distinct from it. Some people here will knock Mamaroneck itself because of the one section of town that is heavily working-class Hispanic immigrants but the rest of the town is almost indistinguishable from Larchmont in character (though Larchmont is definitely still the more upscale of the two).

Larchmont schools are uniformly excellent. If your kids are high-school age they will go to Mamaroneck High School. It's excellent, you have nothing to worry about.
