We are a British family moving over to Westchester in Jan 2010. I have a 2.5 year old son who has cerebral palsy and needs physical therapy every day. He is an independent little boy and already attends a mainstream Montessori pre-school 3 mornings a week.
I'm looking for a part-time pre-school for him in the White Plains area where he can go for 2-3 mornings or afternoons a week. I've been in touch with the Childcare Council of Westchester and they gave me a list of schools, but unfortunately they don't offer half-day classes. It would be too much for my son to attend a full day of school and then go to 90 minutes of physical therapy.
We could consider a full day class twice a week if school finishes at 3pm or if they allow a physical therapist to come and work with him at school. So far I've not found a school like that. Can anyone suggest? We will be living in downtown White Plains and my husband will be working in Armonk and Somers.
Thanks, I checked the website and it looks promising. I haven't looked at anything outside of White Plains since we're very new to the area (I visited White Plains for a few days in October), but I will certainly get in touch with them and see if it works out.
