Both schools are in the north end of New Rochelle and I doubt you will find many parents whose children have been in both schools. Davis is a physically smaller school, with approximately 600 kids. Ward is much larger and has close to 1100 students.
I've had three kids go through Ward, and my feelings are mixed about the school. It's not bad, but it's not a great school. The Ward school district includes a very diverse bunch of kids, with all the attendant distractions that can bring. The administration is not particularly responsive to parents concerns.
Gradewise I'd give Ward a B.
