Booya,

I had that same experience in Blue Ridge, GA. The first time I went years ago, I was enchanted. There were the most beautiful potted plants sitting on the old brick walls.

It's still nice. Some people would say it's even nicer now because there are far more thriving businesses. But the last time I went, it didn't strike me the same way. Who knows what I would think now - there are new places there I haven't seen yet. It just keeps changing.

JAngel,

One of the things I like about Brevard is that it is a real functional downtown AND full of shops and restaurants. That is very appealing to me.

Default Anywhere but Waynesville

Blowing Rock / Boone is great. Anywhere except Waynesville. You will be sorely disappointed in EVERYTHING that town offers.

I am planning a move to WNC and have been shopping for the most house for the money place. Does anyone have any insights for me? I hear Hendersonville is more senior than I might want but nice. Swannanoa, waynesville, mill spring, morganton, burnsville. Would love to hear experience from these places or others.
thanks...leela
