I will be in Asheville later this week, and I was looking for gas prices on gasbuddy.com.

I see that the best prices are at the Sam's Club at 645 Patton Avenue. Do you have to be a Sam's Club member to buy gas there?

I am asking because in many states, you don't have to be a member to buy gas at Costco (even though I am a costco member).

Yeah, I'm 99% positive you have to be a Sam's Club member, unfortunately.

Actually, I think non-members can buy gas at the Sam's Club stations but the price is a few cents more for non-members than for members. Over here in Tennessee the non-member price is usually competitive with street prices in the area of the club (when prices aren't moving so much- anyway).

Unless you are going to be in the area of Sam's Club, you'd just be better off buying it somewhere else.

Not saying this is you, but I never understand the people who spend a gallon of gas to get to cheaper gas and save 10 cents...even on a 20gal car that's only 2 dollars.

Nope, small sign on the pump. Members Only, and they are not talking about the jacket.
