I just got back up here today. Clear skies this evening, high 60's with a beautiful setting sun. <sigh>

After 6 months with no rain, and over 30 days of 100+ degree weather in Texas, words can't describe. BBQ-ing this weekend without feeling like the one in the grill.

I need a happy dancing emoticon!

I agree. I just got home from a visit to Blowing Rock and Brevard and the weather was spectacular!

it's my first summer/fall here and even that everybody said, it has been a really hot summer - to me the weather was fabulous all the time and cooler than in delaware, 9 hours north, where I moved from.

I am so enjoying sitting outside a lot, having family games and dinner at the porch - in the middle of the summer ! wasn't possible in Delaware.

^ Yeah, it's been a really hot one. The past three years have, as a matter of fact. Here's hoping that will trend the other way come next summer, because this boy is getting sick and damn tired of this heat. It's hit 90˚F for the past two days even here in Barnardsville, so I know it's hot in Asheville. Phew. Come on fall!

Up in the High Country the leaves are beginning to change!!!! AHHHHHH....we had a few cool august nites (low in the 40's) and now the low is 60's again, I'm looking forward to winter! I ADORE the 4 seasons especially after 25 years in Fl where it's either hot or hotter I even found a few fabulous quilts to add to my collection....nothing cozier than a fire and a quilt on a cold Blue Ridge Mountain day!
