Is this a good hike to take?

Are the waterfalls close enough to each other and that can take most of them all in in a day.

How strenuous is it to get to Bridal Falls? Are most trails easy?

Thanks.

Beautiful hike. You can see them in a day and it sin't strenuous. Most of the trails are actually former roads. See Friends of DuPont State Forest website. It has lots of good information.

The falls are a must-see, especially after a good rain (so that the water is really flowing). We usually start at Hooker falls and work our way up to High Falls. Parts could be challenging, but the falls are so close together that you have plenty of time to take it easy.

Omigosh, yes this is a beautiful hike. You park right off the road at Hooker Falls, final scene shot from Last of the Mohicans. Then walk 15 minutes to Triple Falls (Wow! Stunning) Then its a bit of a hike up to High Falls, but again, its only 15 minutes. Bridal Veils is next on my list, so I can't speak for that one. But for the 3 I do know at Dupont, all I can say is go now. In the spring, summer, & major holidays its absolutely packed. We went last Thanksgiving and it was packed. I was so surprised.

A fantastic book on waterfalls~

Great thread, when do you guys expect spring flowers to bloom in the area?
You guys have sold me in making a trip to it this year.
And in the summer is there an area to swim?
What address should be used for GPS?

Sunny, you can get lots more detailed info about the trails watching these great youtubes I found. This guy also gives a gps coordinate to the parking lot.

We used to always swim at Hooker Falls, and sit under the waterfall, but we didn't go last year and we heard that there is no more swimming allowed there. Maybe someone else can speak to whether that's true or not.
