If I remember correctly, last year's Banner Elk woolies predicted an average winter, but the woolies at my house predicted a very mild winter. My woolies weren't there for the race, but they won the forecasting contest!
It was fun. I went yesterday (Sunday). My woolly went up about 3 inches and then turned back down the string heading south instead of north. Neededless to say, I didn't win that heat!
What kind of winter are they predicting this year?
