Hello, I am a single gay man (44) able to relocate to the asheville area. Can anyone give me any idea of apartment or house rental prices in the area and how different areas stack up against one another?
I was just on another thread extolling the virtues of Weaverville and at the riskof repeating myself will repeat myself. Built on 10 acres here 9 years ago and love it. Weaverville has small town charm with a cozy main street offering eclectic shopping and cozy restaurants. Not touristy like some areas. 15 Minutes from downtown Weaverville to downtown Asheville. The box stores are all a couple miles away from mainstreet, Superwalmart,Lowes. We are a liitle north of Weaverville and after a night of moives and dinner in Asheville we stop at the local bakery/diner,coffee and a comfortable couch and listen to some live music. Great way to end the evening.
Rents for a one bedroom most places here will go from 500 to 1000. Theres a lot to choose from now but your choices narrow significantly if you are at all discriminating. South of asheville will be more expensive, West much less and north and east somewhere in the middle. Good luck on your search.
Really anywhere in Asheville will be accepting. West Asheville tends to be a little bit cheaper. How close to downtown do you want to be?
