Tips Finding Mortgage for DW on leased land (Asheville, Henderson: mortgage broker, broker)

Hi,

I'm trying to buy a nice Double Wide in Hendersonville/Mills River in NC - just south of Asheville. However, having trouble finding co. that will do mortgage on doublewide that is on leased land - it's in a regular MHP where you buy the house but rent the land.

Has anyone done this - any suggestions?

You might contact Apple Valley Mortgage, I think in Hendersonville. I don't know if they can do it, but they have pulled off some miracles for some of my difficult clients. They used to have an office in Lake Lure that I used a lot, but have since closed it. A mortgage broker, I think, is your best bet. There are several in that area.

A mortgage broker may help you but pay close attention to what he charges you. I once saw a $2500 fee for what would have taken the guy 15 minutes to find.
