Hi I am now going to graduate school in Asheville, and I have a ten year old daughter. I am shopping for a house, but I can't find one in the school districts I want. I know I can possible switch schools if the school is easier to get to for my work or school, but I don't know if these requests are usually granted or not. The difference in driving time would only be minutes shorter with the switched school, and I would be requesting to switch from a Buncombe county school to an Asheville city school. I do not want to buy the house unless I am real able sure I can have my daughter go to Asheville city schools, instead of Erwin. Does anyone know if these requests are generally granted?

Reason: Misspell
My son would have gone to high school at North Buncombe High School had we done everything by the book.
He was attracted to a particular metals technology program at Asheville High School--a different school district. We were easily able to get a signed release form from the NBHS Principal and admission to Asheville High with payment of a very small "tuition payment."
