Had my first hummingbird stop by a few moments ago (4/12/2021 @3pm ET). This is about a week later than 2020 - but I didn't get my feeders up until 4/10/2021. So I can't say for sure if they're really running or later or it's just me that's behind.

Well - I haven't seen any of the 6 or so resident male hummingbirds at all today. The females and juveniles have been extremely active around the feeders now that the males aren't constantly harrassing them. And with that, another season begins to wind down...

Our schedule this year is here for a few weeks, then gone for a couple of weeks so we refrain from putting out feeders, plus it usually draws the unsavory element (bears).

We do line the deck in flowers planted in deep pots. The hummers buzz us every chance they get as they come in for the flower nectar.

Our feeder is packed...reminds me of GC Station back in the '80s or Shinjuku Station in the '90s, lol!

I suspect the plethora of 20+ hummers at any time are the new crop this summer.

Big volume feeder, with perches, loaded with sugar, and I am refilling it every other day.

F18s on crack.
GL, mD

Never been to Shinjuku in Ft. Worth or Japan, but spent some time crawling through GC back in the 60s-70s.

Good comparisons, but the virtual reality visual of F18s on crack just about made me spew coffee!!!!!!! LOL
