planned our trip to check out the area for a spring time move....
charleston to boone, grandfather mountain and sugar mountain, burnsville, mars hill, weaverville, ashville, hendersonville and back home.

what are some good places to stay a night or two in these areas for a family traveling with three children?

thanks in advance!

Any decent motel will accommodate your family. If you are talking about places to visit, stop off in Morganton, NC to see a charming small town. There's a nice greenway to walk or bicycle with the kids.

You might consider the hotel on the Biltmore Estate! You should spend a day (at least) at the Biltmore House and grounds. Also there are some places to stay in the Pisgah Forest, with great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We go tent camping there often. Lots of things to do for the kids there. Also, Hendersonville is a great place to stay and visit, especially downtown. There's a place to take kids to bounce (we've taken the grandkids), which helps blow off some excess energy. And then there's the ice-cream place or "Margaritaville Restaurant" for good food! Good luck with your planning and your visit!!
