Thanks for info.

Any hikers or kayakers out there?

Any interesting weekend trips from the Asheville area?

Hi Margaret,

I too have been researching Asheville to relocate to also. The Asheville Chamber of Commerce has a very informative package they will send to you, I think it was $25. I was there a few weeks ago and am hoping to move in acouple of weeks. Good luck!
Rachelle

Whoops -- looks like I mishandled this forum. I am a realtor and didn't understand that I shouldn't link to my site, etc. Sorry. I can add to others' that Asheville is a great place --We moved here this year from NY. Great art, music, theater, food, and things to do. The NC Center for Creative Retirement is a terrific resource. I of course try to meet people who are thinking of moving here and I set up a site and blog to help them. Would appreciate knowing how I could legitimately give people access, without breaking rules. Sorry if I offended...

You can (should) ask other Realtors on city-data how they handle it...I think usually they will send a private message to anyone who seems to be open to hearing from an agent (note I said "open to"--do not SPAM people).

No offense intended, but frankly, if I were looking for a real estate agent, I'd want one who'd lived in the area for more than just one year, myself, to get the real skinny on the area longterm...
