Going to Some Friends' Wedding in Wichita 8/1/08 (Sedgwick: restaurants, activities)

What are good restaurants/activities there??

Good restaurants and activities in Wichita might depend on what you're used to elsewhere and the ages of the participants. If you're here with kids, Exploration Place science center is a good outing. So are the All Star Sports complexes on the east and west sides. There's also a world-class zoo, the Sedgwick County Zoo.

The Museum of World Treasures in Old Town is a good museum with a wide range of exhibits. There are a few other museums worth a trip. The Wichita Art Museum has a great collection of American art. It also has a beautiful glass exhibit. Botanica, the botanical garden, might be little warm in August. There's also the Old Cowtown open air museum. There are several buildings where life in Wichita's early days is recreated. The Prairie Wranglers, an internationally known cowboy singing group, also performs there.
