Want to add some specific coping information if you choose to move to Wichita:

Choose to take a position in Wichita has frequently ended in ruin for the adult, even over the last 20+ years. In the last 5 years, some negative church entities have tried to use Wichita's residents and things are even worse as no one will even exhibit common sense nor good judgement if you suffer any personal problems from bad relationships or even need a bit of mental care to deal with anxiety attacks/insomnia problems, some of the coworkers just go on the attack and can be canned with no medical leave or unemployment pay. For years, something about the Wichita area was causing BAD cases of PTSD for some women living alone and cracking up was pretty common, but some of these churches have turned things into a hate monger situations causing a lot of financial damage to local businesses/professionals. Even the local professional groups will do BLACKBALL and ruin someone, trying to put in their own people from church sometimes. The local mental care has a LONG history of ruining the PTSD sufferers and call it schizo when it is usually caused by working/socializing around the wealthy sex abuse problems....Expect many years of flashbacks if you ran into this bunch but long-term insomnia is usually so bad, can be helpful to keep the mental care and quietly just submit to psych meds so you can sleep/retain function.

Best advice I had over the years was advisability of owning two properties if you want to work in professional Wichita. The best off professionals spent their extra money and weekend time (not at the local hate monger churches who harm people who disagree with things and try to leave) on another property either in city, rural or small town. You need to get to know the people around your second home so you will be accepted if something bad happens to you in Wichita and you are finally ready to leave. I highly recommend you plan to keep the Wichita property for a little while, maybe even delaying payment of the real estate taxes for a while if you are pinched. I found out some of the smaller towns around Kansas have a 'WAY' of handling outsiders and do not mind letting someone fix up local houses with the plan to SCREW the weekenders when they finally move to small community for good. Can be possible to ride through malicious small town intentions if you COMPLETELY keep quiet and possibly ditch a lot of possessions to lessen the possibility of huge financial damages. Noticed the people who 'fit' into smaller communities had to offer up a lot of themselves for charity projects/financial support of local financial investor man plus listen silently to a lot of coaching from locals so you will be accepted/assimilated. Noted no one EVER discussed much out in public and better to NEVER have any opinion against the agriculture...Go hug your own tree, walk your own yard or garden if you want 'green'.

I hope you find the thread 'BAD Parts of Kansas to avoid' to be helpful as it is compilation of stories I was told last 30 years living in this sex abuse area with dirty govt/cops due to weekend visits from Arkansas' wealthy who had family here. I confirmed many of these stories later when I tried to leave Wichita and some stories were collected from abused persons I met over the years.

Wichita's cops/court/politicians are dirty and you will eventually run into some wealthy person looking to use you -- not necessarily the sex abuse but lots of other scum moved here to enjoy the environment. THERE IS NO WAY TO USE COPS/COURTS/POLITICIANS TO GET AWAY FROM ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH AND COMPLAINING LOUDLY COULD GET YOU HARMED LONG TERM. People ditch most possessions and just move...better to take your daughters with you as something has gone terribly wrong with the males of Wichita who will do anything they must to anyone even if it will land them in jail whether black, white, wealthy, educated or blue collar. Your daughter may become stuck dealing with a man who won't leave her alone and forced into a relationship in which these males try to harm the children later. Female can end up in jail for rest of her life unless family documented ALL complaints to authorities of mistreatment and turned this information over to media once Grandbaby had been killed, no one would help their daughter leave situation in time....This was suburban Wichita area and not the inner city. College situation in Wichita is so unprofessional and rigged up to ruin some who may just be in the room with your daughter leaving the whole class ripped off and forced to pay for useless time being harassed by nutty professor. Management doesn't care....All is so out of date is a rip off.

I have watched one nice suburb ruining people who bought existing housing in area, cops scaring away victim in a couple week -- victim, after victim after victim. ACLU has no interest. Victims were not allowed to sell the place they bought, they abandoned....

Just disposed of used RV I never got to use but stored in Wichita at 3 different places. Dealt with BOTH run-down batteries, everything inside moved around, bodily fluids, scratched off mirrors....even in suburban storage places. This is usually what can happen to a female who tries to get an RV while living around here. Most of the people who just get by keep the RV 1-2 hours away from Wichita...Can have an RV ruined on first service stop in Wichita. Just stop the check, have RV towed to the repair place, leave title and keys inside. Judge will not fine you when you get called to court over this. THERE IS LONG HISTORY OF SCREWING PEOPLE FROM WICHITA WHO LEFT BY RV DEPENDING ON WHICH ABUSER GROUP YOU GOT. ARKANSAS'S SEX ABUSE FAMILY IS SO WEALTHY, THEY CAN TAIL YOU FOR MONTHS ENJOYING THEMSELVES EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE THE RV. LAUNDRY IS ALWAYS SPECIAL TIME FOR VANDALS. ARkansas did this to his own family/inlaws who ran...

Tent is nice investment. $100 is about right...

Then vehicles 3 sets of keys stolen from new place I was living in Wichita....Was told to go on scavenger hunt to find everything I needed. F THIS!

Craigslist will get you killed in Wichita. Goodwill will tow away any kind of vehicle. If you try to sell RV in Wichita, most of these GAWD hearing people will not get a title on you and you will get the car tax bill for a decade after trying to sell an RV here. Better to dispose of it with Goodwill and get bill of sale. Will be tax write off.

If you get an RV to leave Wichita, would not bring it back to Wichita for any reason even to visit.
