No, there are not just 6 cops! And there are Sheriff officers there from other counties, because of the issues related to this population explosion, and all the effects it has on this small town.
You make some good points. Imagine, this was a very quiet, boring town. Kids getting tickets for reving their engines at the stop sign. To this..... all because of a TV show. It would benefit the companies, the employees, the townies.....everyone, if the companies took responsibility for all it's hires. Housing, mobile homes are cheap, move a bunch in near the job sites. Containment, **** off a tired roughneck that is trying to sleep, that's your containment. I don't think having boos is a good thing. Why multiply the problems. But, I do think having to police your own company is. And, in N.D., and I believe nationally, You get a DUI you lose you CDL.
I have to agree with Jax, it is just not gonna happen initially. The ones I see renting rooms are just too picky. Am sure there is some good people renting rooms but probably not too much. Trust me this is not something we are eagerly anticipatig to do, but for the beginning it is the only option.
Hopefully in some time another option will come up though. As for the renting apartment there is no apartments to rent. Everyone I see advertised is 3000 a month and not even in Williston.
Alexandria MN is such a pretty, interesting little town. I had thought you meant Alexandria N.D., near Watford City.
Ya I live right on edge of Alexandria, it is nice here I think almost same population as Williston with out the workers, like residents. I haven't been here long but is nice and people are very nice. A lot of jobs but the pay is on lower end not too low but not high, lol......
You are so right. We are writing some warnings on the other link that discusses sleeping in your car. Please also add your info there. Running into several nay sayers, which are only going to mislead these folks that are dooming themselves to tragedy.
